The reviews are mixed. I'm not doing as badly as I thought I would do. Nor am I doing as well as I'd hoped. Sounds about par to me! :-) Wonder if anybody out there iis reading them... Drop me a line if you are.

The Artistic Staff of The Alcove Theatre (just off Union Square in San Francisco) has invited me to stage an entire evening of my songs in January. I'm really excited about this, as I've wanted to do a revue of my material for quite some time! It's going to be a very varied program, with songs from my shows, non-theatre projects, upcoming projects, trunk songs, and a couple of brand-new pieces written especially for this prodution. I've got six singers, a very talented trio of musicians, and about 22 songs lined up. We are well into rehearsals, and it looks like the show is going to be fabulous! Come see us at The Alcove Theatre, January 18th and 19th. One weekend only!

They have a dead spot in the first Act of their new cabaret show, and need an upbeat number for a male. "Have song, will travel" is my motto. I've given them a tune called "Picking Up The Pieces" from an (as yet) unproduced (and unfinished!) musical. It'll be fun for me to see the premiere of this piece, that has been living in the trunk for way too long. I love the song. Since I've come to the party late, I tried to convince them to reprint all the posters, etc. to include my name...Now why didn't they go for that suggestion???

The program teaches English to non-English speakers. I'm having fun, and it's always great to work with nice people.
